UCAT and BMAT
We offer UCAT and BMAT tuition sessions to help students in Staffordshire pass these extremely competitive medical entrance exams, and start their journey to becoming a medical professional.
The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is an admissions test, which a wide range of UK universities use to assess the readiness of potential students to enrol on a medical degree course. It is a stretching exam, covering abstract, quantitative, and verbal reasoning, as well as decision making and situational judgement – all of which can require specialist preparation if a student is to truly distinguish themselves.
The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) is a similar admissions test, covering critical thinking, science and maths knowledge, and communication skills – again areas which are tested in a context and format which can be very unfamiliar for even the brightest students without advanced preparation.
We have used our in-depth experience in this area to recently publish a book: Ace Getting Into Medical School, which outlines the challenging path a prospective medical student faces in securing a place in medical school.
It draws on the knowledge and insight of our specialist tutors, as well as incorporating advice from previous and current medical students who we have helped to gain places at the schools of their choice.
